Granville, Tennessee’s Mayberry Town has a Mayberry and I Love Lucy Museum. This museum offers Mayberry and Lucy fans an opportunity to step into the world of timeless comedy and heartwarming moments and experience iconic characters that come to life in the Mayberry and I Love Lucy Museum. This museum brings together two of the most beloved television shows in history. These groundbreaking series shaped the golden age of television and continue to inspire generations with their unique blend of humor, charm, and unforgettable characters.

 

From the quiet, small-town wisdom of Sheriff Andy Taylor and his trusty deputy, Barney Fife, to the zany antics of Lucy Ricardo and her hilarious schemes, both shows captured the essence of what it means to find joy in life’s everyday moments. Whether you are revisiting old favorites or discovering them for the first time, this museum offers a heartfelt tribute to the enduring legacy of these classic sitcoms.

 

The Granville Mayberry - I Love Lucy Museum preserves the legacy of these two popular television sitcoms and showcases the impact of the shows.  The Andy Griffith Show and I Love Lucy aired on Columbia Broadcasting (now CBS) and both were filmed in Desilu Studios. They continue to be popular as reruns, have been translated into several languages, and shown in dozens of other countries.

 

The Andy Griffith Show aired from October 1960 to April 1968, with a total of 249 half-hour episodes spanning over eight seasons.  The series never placed lower than seventh in Nielsen ratings and ended its final season at number one.  Visit Granville's Mayberry -I Love Lucy Museum and learn unusual facts about the Andy Griffith Show, step into Floyd's Barber Shop, enjoy viewing a collection of rare and unusual artifacts, and learn about the main characters of the show.  Marvel at the police car cookie jar, framed uncut trading cards, Aunt Bee's glasses, and autographed prints, posters, pictures, and more.  There was definitely something magical about Mayberry; experience this magic in Granville’s Mayberry and I Love Lucy Museum.

I Love Lucy was a television situational comedy that aired from October 1951 to May 1957 with a total of 180 half-hour episodes. It was the most popular show in America for four of its six prime-time seasons. The I Love Lucy series won five Emmy Awards.  Step into the Ricardo's living room in the Granville Mayberry-I Love Lucy Museum and you will expect to hear Ricky saying, "Lucy, I'm home".  Learn the stories of the one-of-a-kind collectibles displayed, view an extensive collection of episode memorabilia, be amazed at the media coverage the show received, and linger and read about the famous couple, the entertaining landlords, and Little Ricky.  Autographed pictures, character dolls, plates, paper dolls, TV Guides, trading cards, stamps and more are a part of this collection.  


The Mayberry-I Love Lucy Museum will bring a smile to your face as you recall random memories of Andy Taylor's voice of commonsense and I Love Lucy's power of laughter. New artifacts are added to exhibits each year; there’s always something new to evoke a memory. The mission of this museum is to preserve rare and unusual artifacts that tell the story of a simpler time to educate and entertain present and future visitors.    

 

 The Mayberry Lucy Festival gives visitors the unique opportunity to step into the lives of these iconic characters in the Mayberry I Love Lucy Museum.  Open Friday, April 11,10-5PM and Saturday 9AM-5PM.  A festival ticket includes admission to the Mayberry and I Love Lucy Museum.                      

 

Tickets and Reservations

The Granville Mayberry and Lucy Festival offers a multitude of activities, many of which are included with the purchase of a festival admission ticket. Due to the nature of the presentation and limited space for indoor performances, some sessions require a reservation and an additional $6.00 admission ticket.
