                       WCTE Cookeville PBS Television to record “ The Best of Sutton Ole Time Music Hour ”

Sutton Ole Time Music Hour began April 4, 2008 on the Famous Cumberland Auto Center Corner Stage at the T.B. Sutton General Store(1880) in Historic Granville, Tennessee. Since then every Saturday night creator and host Sam Stout has brought the best in Bluegrass and Ole Time Music to our audience and radio listeners. Granville Museum & SOTMH Vice President Chris Neeley has syndicated 45 radio stations in 14 States and 3 Countries.

WCTE President/CEO Becky Magura, has decided to bring the show to the next level. PBS Television will produced a 4-episode pilot series to be broadcast locally on WCTE 16 times during the 2017 season. The show will also be aired by Chattanooga, Knoxville and Nashville PBS Stations. The Program will be marketed to other Public Broadcasting Stations around the Country and to the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA).

This year’s series will be recorded Friday September 23, 2016 at T.B. Sutton General Store in Granville, Tennessee.

                                                    Air Force musicians to perform in Granville, TN.

SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- The USAF Band of Mid-America’s Starlifter will present a concert at the 18th Granville Heritage Day on May 28, 2016 at 1:00p.m located at 6774 Granville Highway Granville, TN 38564. This is a free event open to everyone and no tickets are required for admission. For any questions regarding the event, please contact the Granville Museum at 931-653-4151.

Presented in partnership with the town of Historic Granville, TN, this is a family-friendly, all ages event.

Starlifter is a group of seven professional musicians whose music inspires patriotism, connects communities with military service members and honors our country’s veterans.

Performing in virtually every musical idiom, from Rock and Pop to Jazz and Country, to great contemporary and traditional patriotic songs. They feature the best in popular music from the 1970's to the most current sounds at the top of today's charts.
